Introduction
Just as the name suggests, the metal laser cutting machine is a type of CNC metal cutting machine adopting laser technology. There are currently two kinds of mainstream CNC metal cutting machines using laser technology in the market, i.e. CO2 laser cutting machine and fiber laser cutting machine. CO2 laser cutter is a type of CNC laser machine using CO2 laser to cut materials. It is widely used for industrial cutting of many materials, including titanium, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, plastic, wood, engineered wood, wax, fabrics, and paper. However, the CO2 laser machine has low efficiency in cutting metal materials. So it is generally  used to cut non-metal materials.  However, the fiber laser cutting machine is widely used for cutting metal materials because of its high cutting efficiency, good processing quality and low maintenance cost. Therefore, the metal laser cutting machine referred to in this article mainly refers to the fiber laser cutting machine.

The fiber laser cutting machine is 200 percent more efficient than the CO2 laser cutter on thinner metal cutting. With different laser power, the fiber metal cutting machine can cut a wide range of metal materials in different thickness. However, when cutting medium and above thick (over 30mm) metal sheets, the cutting efficiency of the metal laser cutting machine may decrease.

CO2 laser cutter is a type of CNC laser machine using CO2 laser to cut materials.
