Laser engraving machine maintenance method
[Precautions]
The machine tool should be strictly grounded!
It is strictly forbidden to start the machine in thunder and lightning weather!
Do not bend or block the cooling water pipe!
It is strictly forbidden to run the laser at full power for a long time!
It is strictly forbidden to bring mobile phones and other communication devices close to the machine,especially when engraving!

[protection and maintenance]
Product quality is the life of an enterprise,and its importance is self-evident.It is especially important that the equipment needs to be maintained at ordinary times,which directly affects the life and precision of the machine.therefore;
(1)It is required to clean regularly and quantitatively every day,remove the sundries on the table,limiter and guide rail,and spray lubricating oil on the guide rail;
(2)The waste in the workpiece collection box should be removed regularly to prevent excessive waste from blocking the air outlet;
(3)Clean the chiller regularly every half a month,drain the internal dirty water,and refill with new pure water(dirty water will affect the light output effect)
(4)The reflector and focusing lens should be scrubbed with a special cleaning solution every 6-8 hours.When scrubbing,use a cotton swab or cotton swab dipped in the cleaning solution to scrub counterclockwise from the center of the focusing lens to the edge,and be careful to prevent scratches damaged lens;
(5)The indoor environment will affect the life of the machine,especially the humid and dusty environment.Humid environment is easy to make the reflective lens rust,and it is also easy to cause short circuit or laser discharge and ignition.

1.Hardware part

Question 1: When opening the software, the computer prompts “failed to open the card, please check the card”.
Solution:
Check whether the driver of the board is installed, or replace the board with a PCI slot;
Reinstall the two data cables and check if there is any broken needle;
There is a problem with the board, replace the board.

Question 2: When opening the software, it prompts: three-axis alarm, initialization error No. 4.
Solution:
Ceck whether the two data lines between the computer and the machine are connected properly;
●Check whether the fuse of the adapter board in the control box is burned out, and replace the fuse;
●Check whether the 5V12V power supply is normal.

Problem 3: Misalignment occurs when engraving, or the size is wrong.
Solution:
●Check whether the path of the engraving software is correct;
●Check the gap size of the screw rod and whether the fastening screw of the polished rod is loose;
●Check that the software parameters are set correctly.

Question 4: When the software is turned on, the axis is turned off.
Solution:
●The problem of the driver or the poor contact of the output signal line of the computer;
Poor contact of motor wires.

Question 5: There is a limit phenomenon during the engraving process.
Solution:
●Check whether the engraving path exceeds the engraving range;
●Check whether the limit product is intact

Question 6: The laser engraving machine is not powered on when it is turned on.
Solution:
●Check whether the start button line is connected properly and whether the button is burned out;
●Check that the emergency stop switch is pressed.
●Check whether the fuse is in good condition, and whether the internal wires are falsely connected. .
Question 7: The axis only goes in one direction when the button is moved.
Solution:
●Check whether the optical coupler line is working normally and whether the line is in good contact;
●Check the motor circuit for solder joints.
●Test whether the adapter board is damaged and whether the drive is intact

Question 8: The sending software cannot be opened normally, and the engraved things appear deformed.
Solution:
●Reinstall the new system and software;
●Check whether the belts and screws of the X and Y axes are loose;
●Check the engraving plotter for problems, deformation.

The laser engraving machine is of different depths or the engraving is not deep
1. Check whether the water flow in the water circulation system is smooth (the water pipe is bent or the water pipe is broken);
2. Check whether the focal length is normal (re-calibrate);
3. Check whether the optical path is normal (re-calibrate);
4. Check whether the paper on the plate is too thick and whether the water is too much (re-correct);
5. Check whether the beam is parallel (adjust the belts on both sides);
6. Check whether the lens is broken (replace);
7. Check whether the lens or laser tube emitting end is polluted (re-clean);
8. Check whether the water temperature is higher than 40°C (replace circulating water);
9. Check whether the laser head or focusing lens is loose (tighten);
10. Laser tube aging (replacement: no charge during the warranty period)

What is the reason for the shallow or uneven depth
1. Whether the focal length is adjusted properly.
2. Whether there is too much water-soaked paper on the engraved material, or whether there is too much water on the paper.
3. Whether the laser tube is aging.
4. Whether the optical path is correct.
5. The lens is dirty and the dust is too thick.
6. The lens is broken.
7. The head of the laser tube is contaminated
Causes and countermeasures of machine missing engraving
Possible Causes:
1. Power board problem
2. The order of operations is reversed
3. Static interference
4. laser tube problem
Solution:
1. Sent data (correction)
2. Yes (re-output)
3. Yes (check if the ground wire is off)
4. Replace the power box and laser tube

Neither the X axis nor the Y axis move
Open the back cover of the computer, use the manual control function, set the distance to 100mm, click the “move left”, “move right”, “move up” or “move down” button, you can see an indicator light glowing. Click the button, if no indicator light is visible, the control card is damaged, please replace the control card. If any lights are on, go to the next step. Turn the multimeter to the DC 5V range, and measure the voltage of pins 14 and 18 of the adapter board. If it is not 5V, the switching power supply is damaged, please replace the switching power supply. If yes, proceed to the next step. Measure the voltage of pin 14 and pins 50 and 54 of the adapter board. Click the “move left”, “move right”, “move up” or “move down” button, the normal value is about 2.8V, if not, the control card is damaged, please replace the control card. If yes, proceed to the next step. Check to see if the indicator light on the drive is glowing, if not, the drive or power supply is damaged. If it glows red, the drive is bad.

The X-axis moves normally, but the Y-axis does not move
Open the back cover of the computer, use the manual control function, set the distance to 100mm, click the “move left” or “move right” button, and you can see an indicator light glowing. Click the “Move Up” or “Move Down” button, if no indicator light is visible, the control card is damaged, please replace the control card. If there are also lights on, go to the next step.
Turn the multimeter to the DC 5V range, and measure the voltage at pin 14 and pin 50 of the adapter board. Click the “Move Up” or “Move Down” button, the normal value is about 2.8V, if not, the control card is damaged, please replace the control card. If yes, proceed to the next step.
Exchange the output terminals (usually 6 pins) of the two drivers, click the “Move Up” or “Move Down” button, if the X-axis moves normally, the Y-axis motor is damaged, please replace the Y-axis motor. If the X-axis does not move, the Y-axis driver is damaged, please replace the Y-axis driver.

Y axis moves normally, X axis does not move
Open the back cover of the computer, use the manual control function, set the distance to 100mm, click the “Move Up” or “Move Down” button, and you can see an indicator light glowing. Click the “Move Left” or “Move Right” button, if no indicator light is visible, the control card is damaged, please replace the control card. If there are also lights on, go to the next step. Turn the multimeter to the DC 5V range, and measure the voltage of pins 14 and 54 of the adapter board. Click the “Move Up” or “Move Down” button, the normal value is about 2.8V, if not, the control card is damaged, please replace the control card. If yes, proceed to the next step. Exchange the output terminals (usually 6 pins) of the two drivers, click the “move left” or “move right” button, if the Y axis moves normally, the X axis motor is damaged, please replace the X axis motor. If the Y axis does not move, the X axis driver is damaged, please replace the X axis driver.

The X axis only moves in one direction
Turn the multimeter to the DC 5V range, and measure the voltage at pins 14 and 56 of the adapter board. Click the “Left Shift” button, then click the “Right Shift” button to see if there is a change in high level (greater than 2.8V) and low level (less than 0.8V), if not, the control card is damaged, please replace the control card , if yes, please check if the drive is normal.

The Y axis only moves in one direction
Turn the multimeter to the DC 5V range, and measure the voltage of pin 14 and pin 52 of the adapter board. Click the “Left Shift” button, then click the “Right Shift” button to see if there is a change in high level (greater than 2.8V) and low level (less than 0.8V), if not, the control card is damaged, please replace the control card , if yes, please check if the drive is normal.

No laser
Turn the multimeter to the DC 5V range, and measure the voltage at pins 14 and 15 of the adapter board. Use the manual control function, click “Turn on the laser”, then click “Turn off the laser”, check whether there is a change of high level (greater than 2.8V) or low level (less than 0.8V), if not, the control card is damaged, please replace it Control card, if present, the laser power supply is faulty.
If it is determined that the control card is damaged after the above steps, you can repair it yourself by replacing the two chips. The chip model is 26LS31 (about 5 yuan a piece). Note that the notch direction of the chip is consistent with the original one.
If the X-axis does not move, replace the 26LS31 chip close to the 68-angle terminal block;
If the Y axis does not move or the laser does not come out, replace the 26LS31 chip away from the 68-angle terminal block.

The laser head does not emit light
1. Press the test button on the operation panel to check the status of the ammeter:
① No current: Check whether the laser power supply is connected, whether the high-voltage wire is loose or falls off, and whether the signal wire is loose;
②There is current: check whether the lens is broken and whether the optical path is seriously shifted;
2. Check whether the water circulation system is normal:
① No water flow: Check whether the water pump is damaged or not powered on;
②Water: Check whether the water inlet and outlet are reversed or the water pipe is broken;
2.It can shoot and self-check, and the sending data does not emit light (check whether the computer settings are correct).

Reset abnormal
1. Check whether the sensor is dusty, poorly connected or damaged (wipe off the dust on the sensor or replace it);
2. Check whether the data cable of the flexible guide belt is in poor contact or damaged (trim the data cable and re-plug or replace the data cable);
3. Check whether the ground wire contact is reliable or whether the high-voltage wire is damaged (re-ground or replace the high-voltage wire).
